Paused Winter
Paused Winter
Come for me, as the spring comes for winter
And embellish these desolate mountains with rainbow-colored iris and purple heather;
My feet are calloused and frost-bitten because of standing all night under the flickering and dull town lights
My weary eyes gaze with stillness towards the obscuring fog and purple skies ;
Bring to my wilderness the serene of rustling maple leaves
So, that I can lie down under their tranquil fall to rest my somnolent eyes;
Hush these ear-splitting frosty wind
s with the pacifying swaying sounds of crocuses and lavenders
And edify these raucous rains of blue winters, the Arcadian ways of sun-glitters;
Spread a rosy warmth on my glistened cheeks and melt this grey town with new sprouts of desire
These obstinate dreary hills, these ferocious rains have tried to tell me a million times that all my stay will be in despair;
But this blurry pale moon clothed in fleece-s of melancholy and, I knew that you will come for me, just like the spring comes for winter
