Our Little Lost World
Our Little Lost World
Back when we were kids
We saw each other as if
We were the only ones
In the whole wide world
Now we look around
Our eyes keep searching
For one another
We cannot find our
Little lost world
There was a time
I thought I didn’t know how to
Breathe without you
Here I am
Inhaling .. exhaling .. just fine
Breathe? I don’t know
Let’s just close it before it blows
Finding us is now like
Finding salt from sugar
We know our world still exists
But it’s so hard to figure
It’s closer in our dreams now
Than in reality
Only when we close our eyes
We experience some sanity
Looking for each other
We seek some sense of familiarity
It still seems like an alien land
It’s so hard to explain, what a pity!
We do have other people around us now
They hold us, they surround us now
We just sigh and smile
Every once in a while
Knowing that
Once upon a time
There existed our little
Castle of cheer and shine
Which is now unseen, unheard
But we know it’s still there
Our little lost world…
