NATURE:THE WAY IT FEELS
NATURE:THE WAY IT FEELS
It is a short poem about how nature is trying to convey its sentiments to humans who are determined to destroy its friends, "nature," and how humans are rapidly moving towards destruction.
You and I are best friends
Since the Stone Age time
Yet you try to kill me every time?
My trees are dying
My rivers are drying
Yet it doesn't concern you when it is related to your life?
Every time I look up to you
You shrug me off
Making me think I am not worthy at all
We were best friends
We still are
But I think you have forgotten it all
Have you forgotten the good old time?
When I patted you every night
Not even once have you visited me
Nor do you care about others killing me
Is this all I'm worth to you?
Is this what I get after caring about you?
I give you air to breathe
I give you food to eat
But all you do is make me feel aggrieved
How heartless can you be and not think about me?
Your life depends on me,
but you seem to ignore this treat
Sooner or later, you will realize
But you will find me in paradise
You will be helpless; you won't be able to save me
All you can do is think about me
I will still care for you the way I do now
Wishing you health and happiness anyhow.
