For once, I thought it would be better

As the year draws to an end

Who has ever expected it to be, so bitter?

Now in any way My hand, I can lend

It was the peak of winter

When hibernation is dealt

For oil and other wealth

Also came hazard suits

For now, the mishap’s in China

Where Corona scared us to our boots

As the cold recedes

And summer comes nearer

We must join forces

And Mother Earth, O heal her

If there is any despair to descend
