Mother: The family's Backbone

Her morning starts at four,

With the alarm's ring.

With no sparrows to chirp,

And no parrots to sing.

She moves to her little kitchen,

And turns on the stove.

Just thinking about today's meal,

She wakes up his children with love.

The cooker keeps on whizzing,

The small child is sleeping yet.

The elder one has homework,

The day is not even set.

The phone's bell is ringing,

Her husband forgot the towel.

The milk is all burned,

And she slips on her favorite novel.

The children are out of the house,

But her appointments are not met.

The dentist would be on his way,

Her hair needs a set.

The dentist was in her lane,

When she just cancels the meeting.

Cancellation charges were extra,

Just no time for the suit fitting.

So like that her day continued,

without a single bit of rest.

But we all know that she tried and tried,

To give her all-time best.



So when her day was over,

She slept at late eleven.

But still, she prayed to god,

For this beautiful life like heaven.
