Mother - The Creator

Mother - The Creator

From the time

I started my journey in your womb,

To the hour I was born,

You took utmost care of yourself

So that I am safe.

To nourish me,

You fed yourself, nutritious food.

Through your umbilical cord,

You gave me your breath.

Nine months of happiness

To carry me in your womb

Though a burden, I was a boon.

The day I was born,

You were born again.

I became your world.

You transcended from

A woman to a mother.

I opened my eyes

And found me

In your cosy lap.

I saw everything around

With your sparkling eyes

That added sparkle to my life.

You fed me and nurtured me

You sang melodious lullaby

To put me to sleep.

Fulfilling my needs,

You managed home and work

With such ease.

Now though I am miles away from you.

I carry you in my heart

I hug myself,

To feel that I am your part.

Whenever I am in tears

Your voice echoes

In my ears.

It comforts me in solace.

And vanishes my fears

Your light guides me in darkness

And leads me to path of success.

I offer everything at your feet,

Your blessings will always be with me,

today, tomorrow and for all the years to come.

For all the love begins and ends with you.

Mother-without you there is no life.

For you are the creator and you are the end.
