Rapaciously we have plundered

Mother Nature and her every resource

Time to realize how we blundered

High time to be motivated by remorse

For, now she strikes back in full measure

Unleashing cataclysm beyond comprehension

Devastating all we treasure

Filling us with fear and apprehension

A harsh lesson we richly deserve

So today let us pledge without reserve

To reuse, recycle, reduce consumption and conserve

What for future generations we need to preserve

For, from our children born or yet to take birth

Our only home, we did borrow

Pledge then to rejuvenate the earth

Yes, for a greener tomorrow
