Morning Glory

You are serene,

A hue of violet...

I wonder 'how long has it been?'

Peeking at you and turning scarlet!

You are sacred,

A flower blooming with glory.

I'm full of scars, ill-fated,

Will I ever be able to tell you my side of the story!

You are saccharine,

The sweetness melts my heart.

Me, a bitter-sweet version, quite alkaline,

Every day, it becomes a bit harder to stay apart!

You are the sun amidst the cold,

Reflecting the warmth till eternity.

I 'wish' to walk the steps of life with hands in your hold,

Just like the last colour of the rainbow, being infinity!
