You can’t tell if she is waning or waxing

She’s ever-changing

Hard to catch

And her beauty is both

Enchanting and frightening

She is touched by the underworld

Attached to its secrets and wisdom

But also to its seduction of blood and flesh

She is bound to both

Heaven and the underworld

Two halves of the whole claim her

Can she choose sides

She who is like like the moon.
