MA'AM
MA'AM
Last I met you,
Was twenty five years back,
Was month of November,
I was the bride, and you blessed me,
That touch I can sense still,
Back in the degree classes,
You were so strict and stern,
Hardly could people speak out of turn,
I was so scared would not dare to speak
And humanities... not my cup of tea
But you picked me out
And I was in your den
Trembling and shivering waiting for ten
But you comforted me
Praised me for my handwriting
Motivated that I had the spark
Only I had to ignite
Class hooted n sang songs
As I was out of den
Forgot to smile or jump...
Jealous eyes.. as I was
The star of her eyes
Taught me how to write the answers
Clock in front....
And eyes on the script
Lifted when 32 pages
We're done in an hour
Smilingly she handed
The extra sheet
For her, training was a success
And I was glorified
That was the success saga,
My teacher... Ohh my teacher
A gold medal adorns my living room
Reminds me the motivation and you
Ms Naidu, I'm indebted forever
Now I m a teacher
Trying to motivate souls
But not as good as you
Not as disciplined as you
Not as organised as you...
But giving my 100 percent
Such a beautiful soul
A wonderful human being
Ohh.. My Teacher
You simply rock!!!
