Love Will Happen Again

They say love is a flower, 

I kept watering it, tended the roots, 

Determined to transform it into the most beautiful sacred flower, 

With colourful petals, 

Facing negligence the petals started curling, 

Slowly died & withered away. 

Your devaluation of me no longer interests me, 

Which once was intrinsically painful, 

Your insecurities made me anxious, 

It overwhelmed me,

It hit my soul to cause unbearable cracks.

My bruised heart recovered to see the beauty of life once more, 

As I gained strength to move apart, 

It will happen again like it has happened before. 

Love is not an easy thing to find, but it surely is an easy thing to lose, 

Yet I hoped for it, 

Who would not see the cracks in me as disasters, 

But places to fill in with love. 

Love will find me, from the farthest corners, love will find me.
