LOVE DID TRIUMPH
LOVE DID TRIUMPH
He sat in the verandah, sniffing the petrichor,
The eyes watery, weeping softly,
Then his tears camouflaged with rains
Broken, the heart tormented,
Who thought love could destroy him,
The alluring feeling was his new foe
Emotionally shattered, lying in lone
Not one did ask how he was
Assuming men don't wail
They told him to be a man
But all he needed was a warm hug
Manifesting emotions can't make someone frail
Instead isn't it glory in grief?
She betra
yed, he suffered
As the rains, was pure his love,
But their bond then froze like the ice
Then cracked, broke, perished
He still being infatuated towards her,
Reminisced them in one frame,
Her tender smile was his satisfaction,
The look she gave had always made him blush
The rains paused, clouds like people
Sooner or later going apart
Came the sun, bringing glimmer in his eyes
He did forgive her but couldn't ever forgive her
His love did triumph not his ego!
