Long since I Sang a Song
Long since I Sang a Song
It has been so long
That I sang a song
Since home has become the world
And world is confined to home.
Day in and day out
Bad News gives a shout
Tales of death and despair
That will take aeons to repair.
A virus is raining thunder
Human is a mere bystander
Rich and poor, young and old
Everyone's equally cornered.
Nature is telling people
To mend ways or suffer
People being humans
Are not ready to learn lessons.
Slightest change in situation
We do away with all t
he precaution
Then when the repercussion rebounds
Our hath and fury knows no bounds.
With science when we succeed
To tame the occurrence
We go again and shoot missiles
To create a disturbance.
Nature will not forget
It won’t let man again disturb
About time that our follies we realise
Or be prepared to pay a higher price.
What use is all the wealth and treasure
When man ultimately has to surrender
What is the point of the hoard and plunder
When a home is where we all have to shelter.
