Lonely Night

You were just like those stars,

Far away from my reach.

Reminding me each and every night,

Those photographs of you and me!

Those moments that we spent,

Amidst the crowd of forty-three.

I wish we were there alone,

As we danced on jolly beats!

Maybe you didn't notice,

The warmth hidden underneath my palms!

Because you were busy cherishing,

A heart that was already struck!

I wish I could just wake up,

And wipe away these tears.

The ones that keep just trickling out,

While crying on lonely nights!
