Light
Light
I am the ray that enters the prison cell,
Where the floor is damp with sins galore.
I could be a glitter, a blaze,
Or simply the twilight.
Striking your eyes
On removing the curtains,
I am a dazzle
That brights up the morning.
I am stretchable, like elastic,
Give me some space and I adjust.
I am the Sun’s love for the Earth,
The warmth of a winter afternoon.
I am your drive to walk the dark tunnel.
Feel me in the blue sky,
When you have the gift of sight,
For the first time.
A believer in equality,
Earthly or celestial,
I restore Nature’s balance,
For when the stars burn out,
I choose to shine through the baby’s eyes.
