Life is once - Today is mine
Life is once - Today is mine
Life is once—today is mine,
My days and years, an uncertain path,
I don’t know when I’ll say goodbye,
So I live each moment as it flies.
I wake and gaze into the mirror,
Smile at the face from bygone years,
A morning sip of tea, swirling vapours,
Cold breeze, sitting beside loved ones.
Helping hands to young and old,
Sharing warmth, no need for pretense,
Newspaper spread, spectacles near,
Tea in hand—the world is mine.
Breakfast made with love and grace,
Lunch packed with a warm embrace.
Children’s chatter, shoes and bags,
Routine mornings, never drain me low.
In the silent hour, between the rush,
I dress myself, with quiet pride,
Hand together, I pray to the divine,
Blessed and blissful day inside my sweet home.
With pen in hand , I start to write,
My thoughts sway like moving clouds,
Words ignite, with tear stained eyes,
A humble truth, I never regret.
Vibrant colors dance beneath my brush,
In every stroke, an instrumental rhythm,
Art, my heartbeat, friend and guide,
Always mirrors my inner being.
I'm happy with little things in life,
My serene moments are quiet and true,
To live, to love, to eat,
Happy with contended moments.
