Road ahead forked into two muddy lanes

Which one to take to reach destination?

Grey clouds gathered predicting heavy rains

Both had no signposts, no mention in google

Tossing a coin would create confusion 

Took the right, believed would lead to freedom

Not all decisions in life come with approval

At the end found was grossly mistaken

Road ended abruptly in a fearsome chasm

Should I return to the place of origin?

Should I jump into the chasm and experience 

Something altogether different?

Life presents many such situations

It takes courage to explore the road not taken
