Let's Fight Depression
Let's Fight Depression
Let's not blow the candle away,
Before the murk engulfs the last ray.
For till there's a candle, there's a hope,
To enlighten a few going down the slope.
Just so a few go against the tide,
And help a few more while on their ride.
Let's not suppress what they murmured
Listen to them and clear what's blurred
Things unsaid can turn envenomed
Hear them lest they should benumbed
Smile and a mere pat on their shoulder
That you're with them, firm as a Boulder.
Let's make sure light reaches everyone,
To the ones who need, you'll be the sun.
For the ones you enlighten, will light a few more.
Eventually, to a lot, you'll be a savior.
Not all heroes wear a cape,
Some silently give formless, a shape.
See the difference a ray can make?
Let it glow, whatever it may take.
For there's not much left
In the world so dark
Where Kurt Cobain, Chester to Jiah khan
Are a few outcomes, way too stark
Let's not blow the candle away,
Before the murk engulfs the last ray.
