Karma - The Guilt & The Burden

Demons inside of me taking control

Pulling me back into the endless hole

Into the fire, into the burning pit

All of my body burning in it

What was my error? 

What did I do? 

To deserve the pain that I'm being put through?

Where did I mess up? where did I go wrong? 

To have to burn in the fire of guilt, so intensely and for so long? 

Now I remember, it was last Monday morning... 

A girl rang my bell, shouting and screaming

The sounds entered my head and I thought I was dreaming. 

She pleaded to open the door and I did...

She ran into my room and just as quickly hid... 

Her father came running from a distance... 

Knocked hard at my door with surprising persistence...

Beta my daughter has run away from home... 

There's a boy with her, she's not alone... 

The man was clearly upset and I feared for the girl's life... 

I denied but he persisted and almost started a fight. 

He sensed my fear and began to calm down...

I was equally responsible for playing a part
