Kālī - The Other Face

Kālī - The Other Face

She screams.

When her every breath feels like inhaling razor blades,

She is captive in the jaws of demonic power,

She screams.

When ice-cold talons  unravel her knotted intestines,

Mindless lust crushes her pounding heart to pulp,

She screams.

When her rosy dreams are torn from deep within her eyes,

That tender kiss her lover brings pours acid down her throat,

She screams.

When broken shards of shattered trust spread numbness through her spine,

Silver eyes and lupine teeth glitter under a feral moon,

She screams.

When the cold and distant stars, in mingled horror and apathy,

Gaze powerless upon her agony,

She screams.

When ripped untimely from the womb and seized by foetal terror,

She flows out in a hopeless flood of tears and blood,

She screams.

Even as she stands carved in stone, on pedestals

Resplendent, suffused in universal adoration,

She screams.
