JOURNEY TO THE INNER BLISS

JOURNEY TO THE INNER BLISS

In quest of bliss, a man did roam,

His feet treading paths far from home,

He scoured lands in vain, it seems,

To glean the light of happy beams.

In riches, fame, and success sought he,

Hoping they'd hold his heart in glee,

But none could bring him lasting joy,

His heart remained like an empty toy.

Mountains he climbed and seas did cross,

But happiness eluded him like a loss,

He sought the hearts of those he met,

Yet, the happiness he craved, he couldn't get.

Then, in a moment of solemn reflection,

He glimpsed the key to his heart's perfection,

He realized that happiness wasn't external,

But an internal state of being, so eternal.

In the simplicities of life he found,

The key to his heart's happy surround,

In nature's beauty and a child's smile,

His heart could rest, free from turmoil.

Happiness, he learned, was a state of mind,

An inner choice, not an external find,

No matter where he went, what he did,

Happiness within, his heart amid.

Thus, he embraced each day with love,

And relinquished all his worries above,

He found that happiness was a gift so true,

Within his heart, shining like morning dew.
