It's not easy...

To get up every day

To do the things the exact same way

To train the brain

To take the strain

To be the best

And to leave to God the rest.

It's not easy...

To forget the hurled stones and insults

To stand up after a fall

To pretend that it doesn't matter

And that it's just a minor falter.

It's not easy...

To try hard again and again

To put that effort and hope

To make a mark and to cope

But if it was that easy...

Then we'd never challenge ourselves

We'd never try because of the pain

And we'll never get to meet the best version of ourselves.

So take that chance even if it's not easy.
