In My Dreams

In My Dreams

The fierce queen of Jhansi

Who fought with all emotions

And the loveable mother

Of an innocent child.

Came into my dreams all of a sudden

While I was facing a complete blackout

Having gone through various hardships

While I was at a loss of conceptions.

She gave me the courage

To continue with whatever ahead

Accepting the destiny written

With honor as being capable of doing so.

She gave me a message

That none could give

At the crucial moment

With such a great choice of words.

She told me to spread the nation's wings

So high that not only the evil spirits

But also the eyes of the people

Can't witness such a presence.

She told me to take the initiative

And to untie India from

Not only external affairs

But internal phenomenon also.

She said that though India is free

The famine still doesn't end

The tales of poverty

Is still ongoing.

After all, it's just you and me

Until the dawn.

So why don't we start

Taking a step.

She told me that it all

Starts with me only.

And that day I realized,

Indeed it all starts with me.

Rani Laxmi Bai saw something in me

Which I couldn't see

She taught me not to hope for it

But strive to achieve it.

Her set of ideals was clearer

As compared to human desires.

The strange quest for her presence

Suddenly made my heart clutter.

She was indeed a warrior queen

Who has inclined all her struggles aside

Just to keep on going ahead

And set the best example of motherhood.
