Abstract

I See

I See

I see your eyes, as you look down at me, you're crying too.

You hold on like the world is going to end, only for me and you.

You hold on like it can save us, and I'm holding on too.

But I'll drown and there's nothing you can do.

I need to hear you lie, tell me that we aren't alone.

I don't want to be left behind, I want you to be my home.

I need to hear you lie, tell me that you care.

Tell me that the bond you have with me is rare.

I need to hear you lie, tell me that you love me.

Enough to stop me from giving up entirely.

Promise me a promise you know you'll never keep.

That I'll learn how to live as peacefully as I sleep.

I see your eyes, as you look down at me, they're lifeless too.

We held on because our world was ending, just for me and you.

You did the only thing that could keep us together, and jumped in too.

And we drowned, but for my last few seconds I was happy with you.
