I See... I See Eye

Sages say that the ‘I’ is the soul

That leaves you, the day you die.

 

But for me, it’s the eye’, through which

I perceive the world around.

 

The eye is the doorway to the world I have

And is the way to the world outside

 

The eye is the season, the eye is the weather

The eye is the world of vivacity.

 

Such a small but gulps a globe

Moon is just a little nut.

 

The eye protects and it detects

What is not that the eye can’t do?

 

The eye ceases the war of cold

With a wink of kind and care

 

The eye can pretend, the eye can threaten

The eye can tell you the truth and faith.

 

While anger makes your eye goes blind

Close it with a breath that deep.

 

You feel now it’s better see,

More within the lids of eyes.

 

So,I feel it’s the eye that is

What makes the I and soul of you.

 

Then when you ask, what’s a soul?

I say, I see.., I see eye.
