I Saw You

The hot sun above my head burnt my skin, 

Yet my heart is fresh with your thoughts. 

My legs walked in a hurry, guided by my heart. 

A little drop of tears in my eyes along with a smile on my pale lips. 

My frizzy hair banged on my face. Adjusting it with my hands, 

I walked further. Without slippers on my leg, 

I stepped on cold grass which remembered me of the days we spent together. 

The old dress I was wearing then, spoke of my longing for you. 

Flashes of your face came like a sparkling star. 

I feel like I have reached the end of my miseries. 

I opened the gate of my villa, stood in the middle of the road, 

Expecting you in my tear-filled eyes. You stepped in.
