I Ride The Wave
I Ride The Wave
Far away from the safe sand shores
Bleeding crimson through my pores
Pretending to be the knightly brave
I ride the wave
Sailing with the struggle against the wind and tide
I meet bigger vessels racing the gap down wide
With a penny in my purse for the fortune, I gave
I ride the wave
Venturing deep into the sea of unknown
Navigating my leaking rusty boat alone
Staring to heavens, guiding stars I crave
I ride the wave
My only co-passenger is an old frail one
Mocked as stupidity and praised by none
With courage - the only companion I have
I ride the wave
Endless horizon riddles me with crosswords
But I continue undermined yet undeterred
For I choose not to be the destiny's slave
I ride the wave
With her song on my lips and courage in my boat
Press onward I shall and retreat I'll not
With universe to win and only honor to save
I ride my own bloody wave
