I'll Pick Up The Oars!
I'll Pick Up The Oars!
Let the winds forsake,
I'll pick up the oars.
Endless, daunting Ocean!
Hear my silent roars.
Let loose the sharks of adversity,
And the sly mermaids of temptation ,
They'll meet the Lion in me
Full of hope's audacity,
Proud, honest,
Broken may be,
But unbent.
At times the hands will tire,
But the spirit shall persevere.
And when the spirit takes a hit,
I'll carry on through sheer habit.
When my Cause is right,
With bloodied swollen palms and all my might,
I'll row,
Sometimes fast , sometimes slow.
Through many a stormy night.
Till the glorious coast finally meets the sight!
