I Dream of...

I Dream of...

The pull of my pillow

Early in the morning

Engulfs my resolutions

Without any warning

They say, dreams are fulfilled

For those, who dream with open eyes

I lay awake for hours, strategizing

What to do after I arise

The determination in my spirit

Shakes when the alarm shouts

I look at the pillow with sleepy eyes

Knowing my weakness, it pouts

I plead for 10 more minutes

The alarm unwillingly agrees

Pillow smirks and winks at the duvet

Who wraps around my knees

Blabbering of my alarm

Sounds like a distant gleam

10 minutes turn into an hour

While I dream of my dream
