Housing Troubles
Housing Troubles
Mr. Abercrombie Woodpecker,
Was in a bit of a flutter !
The missus was
Displeased,
And her demeanor
Was off color!
For she needed a nest,
For a rest,
Cant go knocking
On neighbors crest!
So Abercrombie
Did scout around,
Knocking on wood,
Listening for the right sound!
For too hollo,
The missus would wallow,
Too light
Would give her a fright!
So, for luck
He knocked on wood,
As best as he could !
At last, before he could crumble,
Mr. Abercrombie
Found the right shamble!
Pecking away
All day,
He hollowed his way,
Into the oak
To allow his wife,
To soak in her cloak!
A passing camera,
Did his picture take,
For a story to make,
It was a window
To another world,
For children and
Adults of the same kind!
