When I was a kid,

I would sit along with my nanny,

Watch the Hindi serials on television,

While she fed me lunch,

Handing me,

a bowl of plantain fry.

Expecting me,

 not to interrupt her.

While we troll outside,

I would inquisitively ask her,

"Why was there always a villain"?!

Ruining things at the last minute.

"Why did good people suffer more "?!

"There are all sorts of people".

she would say,

Some would prefer a winter sky

Yet some would curse,

 the ombre,cold winters.

Some would choose light,

Yet some would say, shadow defines.

Fairytales for some and

Superheroes for others.

Some would prefer

grey over yellow,

black over grey for many.

"We are all different " she would reassure.

Would you'd liked,

Had all been the same?

How'd you tell one from the other?

Would you'd liked, had all been the same?

All evil/ All good??
