Heroes

Who are "Heroes"?

Do you know them?

Do they wear an Iron Mask?

Or carry a Shield,

For us to know them.

          For a child,

          Her father is her Hero,

          A person sweating in the sun,

         Or the one fighting in the sun.

For a patient,

The doctor is her Hero,

With his white coat, 

And a stethoscope.

         With a caring smile,

         Which goes a long mile,

         To put a smile,

         On a face ready to cry.

For a sister,

The elder one is the Hero,

May it be a 'bro' or a 'sis'

To look up to,

To fight for a gift or two.

         For a student,

         A teacher is the Hero,

         With her patient smile,

         A patient listening.

And a voice,

Which reminds her of seasons,

Not one but all.

         The rustling of Autumn,

         The sunnyness of Summer,

         The chill of Winter,

         The novelty of Spring.

So,

We don't need,

Heroes and Superheroes.

          But, 

          We do need to learn,

          To Marvel at the,

          Known Heroes.

Who spend a lifetime,

To save us,

To guide us,

To protect us,

And to scold us.

          Let us join hands,

          To Thank the Heroes of our life,

          And not wait for,

          Superheroes to visit us,

           Once in a while.
