Morning began with drizzling rain

After two humid days it looks sane

But sanity today is not to be taken

Greetings to all on Rakshabandhan.

Brothers wake up as usual late

Sister have cleaned the home till main gate

Mothers are preparing breakfast early

Want to meet their brother whom they miss dearly.

Fathers been busy too bringing things

Running between shops against their liking

Delicious meals are being prepared in kitchen

Boys waiting for the time it will be given.

House is full of kids and adults

Loud laughters is the result

Cousins planning at a corner to go out

Its success always remains in doubt.

Each Indian festival has its own lore

Surprisingly Rakshabandhan has nothing in store

Celebrated on the day of Shrawan Purnima

Why only girls get money not boys is an enigma.
