Glasses On...

Glasses On...

She is reading a book

Or a novel I see.

She keeps her glasses on,

As if in life, she already won.

For her words appear to be movie clips,

Into the lead, she eagerly peeps.

Falls for words not appearances,

Thinks of reality as a big disturbance.

Prefers to live in the fictional world,

She's neither a lover nor a nerd.

She just pretends to be a little shy,

Has a lot in her mind, don't ask her why.

She never realised how the time flew,

Just as the book ended, it all felt new.

Putting down the glasses

She glances at the tree,

Thinking how to be a little free.
