Gaze
Gaze
The rays had hit me so hard
Much harder than the sun had did
The sweat from my pores wasn't that
Recognized
Yes, the sun had not done so much harm,
It was the moon's rays that hard hit me so hard.
This night was so unusual, the light shone brightly
I could barely feel the darkness that had engulfed the night
My eyes had experienced the energy that was escaping
The so peaceful energy that had escaped from the moon.
It was a circle of glory or so my senses thought
I could only stare and have my desires wonder
My hands tried reaching for it, yet it cast them back
A shadow that could only amaze my eyes.
The moon that shone bright, an epitome of beauty
How far you run into the sky, is that where your comfort lies?
Or an escape from humanity, so you can keep your magnificent lamp
A feel of you I linger for, oh moon of beauty
The moon that shone brightly
One that gave me a beautiful sleep.
Sleep well with thy splendor
Oh, you beautiful moon.
