Friendship! A Boon To Mankind

Sometimes we find and sense that our soul

Resonates with the other soul so deep,

As if we find the treasures of great worth.

We connect, disconnect and again reconnect

Beyond the limits of space and time.

Sometimes we are not afraid

Of crossing the bars,

As the contract is of lifetime

Not for a moment or two.

Sometimes, being betrayed, we get pain

We get hurt, we become senseless too

But the showers from eyes wash the poison

And we are once again two bodies with one soul.

Sometimes in our loneliness or distress

We feel forlorn

But the endless devotion of a soul next to us

Helps to condemn the darkness, bring back sparkles

Of hope And add to our glory.

This relation is of love, patience, forgiving

Fighting, breaking, then reconnecting

But never failing.

One moment we are toddlers, then kids

The other moment, matured ones offering

Shoulders to each other to lean on.

Behaviour changes with a high frequency

As the relationship is of heart and soul.

It is a relation of two souls connected with

A golden thread, no matter

What we are and where we are.

Friendship is not merely an acquaintance

But a gift of great worth from God

For us to share life in its journey,

Till the destined time knocks at the life’s gate

When we return back to soil……..
