Forgotten Parents
Forgotten Parents
Congratulations, parents, it’s a charming prince.
Parents be like:-
Thank you, Almighty God,
You have sent someone to look after us.
We are happy as sunshine arrives,
When we reach home at five,
Everyone seems to be a friend of mine.
Environment be like:
An assurance in difficult times,
Feeling blessed
To have him in my life.
Time passes like a rocket or a missile,
From school to college and college to office,
Now it’s time to have a wife.
Time passes, the family grows,
Space in the home becomes smaller too,
Quarrels arise day and night,
Disturbing everyone too.
Finally, the son says,
"Take a break,
Stay somewhere for a few days,
And let us all have some peace."
Parents agree
And move to an old-age home.
Weeks pass, months pass, years pass too,
But the son does not return,
His father dies waiting,
And the mother has tears in her eyes.
A few days later,
What does she see?
Her son arrives…
She is happy and surprised.
She welcomes her son
And says, "Take me home, my child."
The son replies,
"I will take you home some other day,
But first,
See Mom, I am your son,
And all this property is mine,
Why don’t you prove it with a sign?"
The mother cries and says,
"All you want is property,
And your love is fake.
No problem, my son,
It is all yours,
You may take it."
"I was foolish
To believe your care was kind,
How did my son
Turn into Ravana with time?"
