Tree
Tree

On the road to my home, stands strong a tree
Too firm to fall, still happy and free
I saw, I stopped, I bent my knee
To the leaves, I spoke 'I want to flee'
The person I've become, I never wanted to be
This crowd tears down every dream I see
When I was a kid, they taught us as 'WE'
Now, why do they want me to see'em differently?
Why caste? Why colour? Why religions I should see?
Aren't we all human? Is this our humanity?
I'm afraid O tree! Please watch over me
The bloodshed I see, I don't want to see
I always thought we're branches and the god as Tree
But the cage we are in, will we ever be set free?
To unbar these locks, will you be the key?
Will we be free or this will remain a mystery?
