For the Road, By the Road

For the Road, By the Road

Do you know how much endless I have to go for the endless ones?

How much calm, to maintain, for the restless ones?

How many moments I have to cross through,

Rhythm hitting concrete as the aesthetic marks my view.

The food, the joy, the fun loving girls, the hopeful boys.

The last time you took a road, the last time you enjoyed.

The last time you took a deep breathe, With warmth that even concrete couldn't survive.

The lesser we travel the lesser we realise,

A road carries many stories,

Those that it carries and those that we visualise,

Yet again, I am a road. Often taken, always relied on.

Taken or not, I am a road, where the seeker gets lost and the lost one finds

Into the way of a great story,

Either way, we pave a path. We all need one.

Destination where we all have to end somewhere.

And neither time nor people may last.

A letter to myself, "Dear road, you will,

Dear road, you will..."
