Father

I caught hold of the hard hands,

I know, his heart is not rough,

Bold are his words,

Powerful are his eyes.

My father is,

A role model indeed,

Supports during my stress,

Plants the confidence seed.

Warmth is what I feel,

When he is near me,

Alas, why I fear,

When married to another man.

Father and husband,

Life goes on,

A husband becomes a father,

And the love goes on.
