Expectations

Things easier said than done,

Promises made to be forgotten,

when we don't even remember our words ...

How do we expect ourselves to be holding the swords?

What we say we rarely do,

Our feelings are the wall that we have to get through,

When we can't even differentiate between our wants and needs.

How do we expect ourselves fulfilling else' greed?

We fail to do what has to be done,

Either the reason is not strong enough or there's no fun,

When we can't even let go of the pull of our desires...

How do we expect ourselves to stand in fire? 

With expectations so big, We try to survive, 

Reality strives far away while we create a world of our own. 

We are so volatile about decisions of our life, 

How do we expect ourselves to be the guiding light? 

We live in a fake world, with no mirror in sight, 

We try to find ourselves in the picture we paint;

Forgetting Perfect is not love... 

What we expect ourselves to be, Is it really what we want to be? 

Walk on earth with the motivation of others, 

But live with the inspiration of yours.
