Escape

To a land far far away, 

I travel everyday, 

The bliss, the ecstasy, 

Oh my, I've set my destiny. 

To see each character spring to life, 

To be the hero that slays monsters and evil alike, 

To know what is to come, what to be, 

To feel each emotion play within me, 

Making me one who forgives, who is kind and worthy. 

And then I'm brought back, from that blissful journey, 

Awakened from my lovely trance, 

Back to these ordinary lands.

I'm doubtful of each step that I take, 

Hardly understand what is true and what fake, 

I'm desperate to escape this realm, 

To the world that does me no wrong. 

The yellowish-brown pages, the musty smell, I have been waiting for this all along.

Old story books rather smell sweet, 

Let plan and in one such story meet. 

Let's plan the future that lies ahead. 

But first, let's get over its dread. 

For dreams are the reality of tomorrow. 

A plan we materialize for every morrow. 

So soon I will see you I hope, 

We will sit and dream over a coke.
