Double the Love
Double the Love
In marriage he wanted harmony
All she wanted in life was more money
Their marriage went off course and ended in divorce.
She was now left only with alimony.
Bitter with life he poured himself a daily drink
On and off took counseling with a shrink.
Not a day passes, of her he thinks
Many a night tosses about not getting a wink.
She now leads a life lonely
Tries to go about although gamely.
Thinks of the times with him, how lovely
Longing growing she misses him sorely.
Unbearable he punches keys and sends her a message
Of his longing for her, she gets assuaged
Goes running home and knocks at his door
Fall in each others arms, their love to the fore.
Now they are twice married, living happily now
Doubly in love, they have taken a vow
Hand in hand they go many places
Each day they savor their love that repeatedly surfaces.
