Don't Fall In Love With Me

Don't

fall in love with me.

I'll write about the way your

lips curl and my heart rolls over

while you call my name.

I'll count the beats of your

heart when you're asleep.

I'll notice the curve of your

smile when you bring coffee

to wake me up.

I'll not listen to the words

you say.

'cause

I'll be more focused

on thinking how to cut your

heart open and carve my

name on it.

I'll be observing the feel of

your hot breath on my skin

when you whisper things

in my ears.

I'll be so lost in my thoughts

of how to make a poem out

of your lips than paying

attention to the feelings you

describe about me.

And.

I don't want to regret later

that I should have listened to

the lyrics of your favorite

song and not just the music.
