Distant Dream

Scary that I woke up,

From the sleep,

Was it a nightmare,

Or just a distant dream?

I can forget you not,

For it was too hard to bear,

A reality that I chose not to believe,

While you were just right ahead of me.

I won't forget, 

Yet shall move on,

For I need to get to the end of it, 

Not hanging by you, all around.
