Devouring Time
Devouring Time

The Squandering Time!
Arch rival of mortal mankind
The usurper of pleasure and delight
like the crafty and wily enchantress
It gnaws life's honey breath
From the sickle of delightful moments
Devouring Time!
Imminent still and ever
With all it's clutter and welter
But here, there is no shelter
Only bewailing and bemoaning
Reclusively amidst the sable woods of life
Then is dolour no more...
Overwhelming Time!
Flows like the flowing river
and obscured into her womb
innumerable moments of momentary life
and banal footprints of temporal mortality
We come and go
like the little bubbles
in the torrential water of spontaneous time
immersion into deadly deluge
like the contemptible and despicable creatures
Time is all inevitable
It formulates, shapes, and obliterates
like the heap of wrecked glasses
and bottomless pain ...
endless torpors
