Bare Shore
Bare Shore
The midnight flowers, I hardly feel them
A musk-filled rose enthrals my haggard soul
Life passes barely on the bare shore
No tedium, no humdrum of humming waves
The stars are fading-fast; the sleepy moon is besotted and lost
The time is passing sulkily, eyes are sodden,
And the heart is aching, across the foamy sea
idyllic death is waiting---
Newly-thrived flowers attract for a while. Past days are oasis-like, vapoury and volatile.
I am lonely like an island, trickling rain
Far-flung stars, sweeter- pain.
