Depression

Depression

2 mins
250

Formatting of my mind changes every minute,

Once in red once in blue,

Sometimes yellow and sometimes in a vibrant hue.

The reflection on the mirror is not me,

How can that be,

My heart pains as well as my mind,

Something is just not well, Something is just not right.

My perspective has changed,

My eyes wander,

I don’t see the world in hope,

I am always in despair,

My mind is perplexed and torn,

My body is tired and worn.

People say it’s depression,

But I feel I am being myself,

I am what they see me as I am,

Or am I what I see myself to be,

Parallel feelings but unparalleled thoughts,

Will this take me to another world.

Raising my hands to touch your heart,

But suddenly it becomes obscure and unseen,

Rules are not for me and the paths are shrunk,

I want to come out but I am still in the trunk.

I have to break the chain of thoughts,

Ignite a little hope in my heart,

Put in a little believe to make that magic of life work,

I have to see the eyes of my loved ones,

They can’t live without me nor I can,

Even if I am in a different world.

I have to hold on to something even if it’s fickle,

Make this Tornado pass,

A little love will do the miracle,

I don’t want to give up until the sun is high,

The night has been really dark,

But I have to hold on and not die.
