Defenseless Or In Love?

Your life is one big mystery,

You crave pain just to feel something

You long to be someone’s home,

For somebody to hold you to the ground

To set fire to your desolate heart,

To wreck yourself with splintered passion

And perhaps that’s why,

You praise the rage of Achilles,

Sing about the fury of Shiva

You worship their destruction

To gather courage and tear down all your walls

I may be wrong, for I’ve never felt it yet,

But I remember somebody telling me

From a past life or from a silly dream,

“What better way to fall blissfully into ruins,

Than falling in love.”
