Perhaps it is difficult for you, but I guess you are doing your part.

Sometimes I feel so distressed and alone,
To seek solace I try to remember your soothing tone.
From yourself, you keep me apart,
Maybe because you want to see me grow, to be on my own,
Maybe you want me to be a person better than I am now.
Perhaps it is difficult for you, but I guess you are doing your part,
I swear I will work hard and face all the trials come what may.
